I want to build a website where people can submit stories about their experiences with loneliness, which is the primary goal. The second achievement is to create another digital literary space where people can express themselves solely on this topic, rather than having to choose from a vast array of topics. An essay book inspired this idea: I assumed it was a collection of essays (or short stories) on loneliness, but it was, in fact, a collection of essays about the author herself. Which is reasonable, but I was craving a collection of stories on this theme. I want to learn more about creating a website where people can submit their pieces, rather than focus on an e-commerce site or a personal blog/website. Focus on a broad audience with a specific focus, which might be interesting to explore in terms of design, functionality, and overall tailoring for the site. I want to receive an A on the assignment, but I’d like to focus on a deeper understanding of creating a space where submissions are selected for a bigger purpose.
